Price & Release Date For Google Tablet
The Pixel Tablet won’t be available until 2023, according to Google.
Google didn’t say when, but there are two times a year when it releases new hardware. Google IO is in May.
The launch of new Pixel models usually occurs in October, but not always. During one of these events would be an apparent time for Google to announce the Pixel Tablet, but it’s possible the tablet will be unveiled later in 2023.
Google didn’t sound certain that the slate would be out by the end of 2023, so we think October is more plausible. So much work remains.
The tablet’s price is unknown. We can’t even guess because the firm hasn’t launched any other tablets recently, and we don’t know how high-end the Pixel Tablet is.
Google Pixel Tablet Details
Above are two photos of Google’s Pixel Tablet.
The white slate has a curved back, big screen bezels, and a single-lens camera on the front and back.
From the design – which is like a Google Home Hub without the stand – we suspect this will be a mid-range slate rather than a high-end one, thus it might be a competitor to the basic iPad 10.2 or the iPad Air (2022) than an iPad Pro 11 or the Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra.
Google also showed off the tablet’s Tensor chipset (which is currently found in the Pixel 6 range). Given that it won’t be released until 2023, we expect the second or third generation chipset to be used.
The Pixel Tablet will run Android 13 or 14, depending on when it comes in 2023. As a Google device, it will receive frequent software updates.
Android 13 will provide a revamped interface to tablets to make the most of larger screens.
