We have a separate macOS screenshot guide. A screenshot is the easiest way to save your screen. iPhone and iPad users have a straightforward process, but other phones vary. Apple Watch wearers have one option, but it’s not obvious.
How to screengrab on other Apple devices here is screenshot guide.

iPhone screenshots
Whether your iPhone has a Home button affects how you snap screenshots. Hold the iPhone X, 11, 12, and 13 side button and volume up button to take a screenshot.
For iPhone 8 and previous models with a front button, press the Home button and side button.
If your sound is on, you’ll see a “flash” and hear a camera shutter. The screenshot appears in camera roll and Screenshots album.
iPad screenshots
iPad screenshots work like iPhone screenshots. For iPad Pro, iPad Air, and iPad mini models without a Home button, press the top button and volume up or down.
If your iPad has a Home button (older iPad Pro, iPad Air, iPad mini, and any iPad model), press the top button and Home button together.
You can capture a screen grab with an Apple Pencil and an iPad. Swipe up from the bottom corner to grab the image.
Take a Full-Page Screenshot
Your device can also capture an entire web page, not just the present view. Once you take an image, tap the thumbnail at the bottom. This opens the device’s markup tool for editing screengrabs.
Tap Full Page to save the full screen. If this is missing, the image won’t work. Save PDF by tapping Done. Apple’s Files app will display the image.
Screenshot From Screen Recording
Some apps make screenshots harder. Here comes your device’s Screen Recording feature. You can pause the video and snap a screenshot while it’s recording.
Under Settings > Control Center, add the Screen Recording shortcut. Tap the circular recording button in Control Center to start a countdown and capture the screen. After saving the video to your Photo library, you can view and take screenshots.
Backtap to Screenshot
Magically take a screenshot. iOS 14’s Back Tap feature lets you tap your iPhone’s back to conduct an action. iPhone 8 and later can be set to take screenshots automatically. Double-tap or triple-tap Back Tap in Settings > Accessibility > Touch. Double- or triple-tap to take a screen shot after setting the action to Screenshot.
Apple Watch screenshots
Apple Watch screenshots must be enabled. Enter My Watch > General > Enable Screenshots on your iPhone, or open Settings > General on your watch.
Pull up the Apple Watch screen to capture it. Hold Side and press Digital Crown. The screen “flash” white and the camera shutter goes off, like on an iPhone. The screenshot will appear on your iPhone, not the watch.
