iPhone 14 Updates
Apple’s new iPhone 14 has various upgrades. New iPhones will have 6GB of RAM, up from the iPhone 13’s 4GB. New phone claims “all-day” battery life.
iPhone 14 runs iOS 16. (Older phones will also be updated.)
iPhone 14’s 12MP camera sports a bigger sensor and wider aperture. The updated smartphone has a better selfie camera with autofocus. New modes enhance low-light photography and moving-subject video.
The iPhone 14 incorporates crash detection and SOS. Your phone will call emergency services and warn your emergency contacts if it detects a major automobile collision. Emergency SOS helps you connect with aid and transmit data in low-connectivity areas.
The iPhone 14 comes in 6.1-inch and 6.7-inch models. Apple ditched the iPhone Mini this year, so these are the only two sizes.
iPhone 14 costs $799; iPhone 14 Plus costs $899. Preorders start Sept. 9. The iPhone 14 releases on Sept. 16 and the 14 Plus on Oct. 7.

The new iPhone 14 looks similar to the iPhone 13. Both iPhones have exterior shells comparable to the 2020 and 2021 versions. Apple improved and added functionality. The iPhone 14 features a 6.1-inch screen, while the 14 Plus has 6.7 inches.
The iPhone 14 and 14 Plus use last year’s A15 Bionic processor. Apple’s 14 and 14 Plus are 18% quicker than the 13. The A16 Bionic processor is exclusive to the iPhone 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max.
Apple has released Mini versions of the main iPhone for the previous two years, but not the iPhone 14 Mini.
Both phones include a 12-megapixel sensor and a wide-angle lens with a quicker aperture for images and videos. Photonic Engine processes images differently on the iPhone 14.
Front-facing TrueDepth camera receives f/1.9 lens. Apple introduced Action mode for video stabilisation. It keeps films smooth whether you’re walking or moving while filming.

Given how similar the iPhone 14 and 13 are, it’s not surprising that the basic 128GB model costs $799 / £779 / AU$1,399.

Apple Watch Series 8 Watch 8 Ultra: What’s New?
Apple Watch Series 8’s S8 processor improves performance. Always-on display and new watch faces are included. In low-power mode, the Apple Watch 8’s battery life can last 36 hours. It’s swim-proof, dust-proof, and crack-resistant.

Apple Watch 8 contains a heart sensor, ECG sensor, blood oxygen sensor, and body temperature sensor. The temperature sensor is marketed as a women’s health tool to measure ovulation and other monthly variations. Apple assured customers that their cycle tracking data is secure and encrypted amid privacy concerns.
Apple Watch 8 is 41mm and 45mm. Nike and Hermes will offer new watch band alternatives in stainless steel and aluminium. The GPS model costs $399 while the cellular model (with international roaming) costs $499.
Apple Watch 8 Ultra is designed for athletes and adventurers. It lasts 36 hours with ordinary use or 60 hours with the soon-to-be-released battery optimization mode. Titanium alloy improves impact resistance. It has a brighter display and second speaker for enhanced outside sound and visibility. Apple says it’s suited for swimming and diving.
The Apple Watch Ultra’s GPS feature helps with outdoor navigation. There’s also an action button for marking training parts.

There’s not much difference between the Apple Watch 8 and Ultra. The Apple Watch 8 debuts September 16 and the Ultra on September 23.
Apple Watch 8 GPS costs $399 and cellular costs $499. Prices vary by watch strap and Apple Watch 8 size (41mm or 45mm).
The 49mm Apple Watch Ultra costs $799/AU$1,299 and features cellular connection.
The Apple Watch Ultra is simpler, but the Apple Watch 8 is cheaper, even with cellular.
AirPods Pro 2 update:
Apple AirPods Pro 2 will include an enhanced wireless chip, the H2 chip, for better audio. AirPods 2 Pro include a low-distortion driver for crisper audio. Plus, your iPhone’s camera can evaluate your ear structure for bespoke sound.
Apple AirPods Pro 2 provide superior noise cancelling than the prior generation.
The AirPods Pro 2 look identical to the first iteration, but Apple added touch controls. Extra-small ear tips are also available. The case contains a new lanyard loop and built-in speaker to help discover it if misplaced.
