Facebook’s owner rolled out Instagram QR codes for Android and iOS users. By scanning a user’s QR code, you can follow them.

The company introduced ‘Nametags’ in 2018 to replace QR codes. Any camera app that supports QR codes can search for new Instagram QR codes, but only the Instagram app can access Nametags.

Create and share your QR code

Step 1. Open Instagram and tap your profile image.

Step 2. Tap the top-right hamburger menu and select QR Code.

Step 3. Select the QR Code and click the Sharing button to share it.

QR Code Customization

Customize the page with emoji, gradient colours, or small selfies. Tap the top-right sharing icon to post your code online or send it via email or text. Save the photo to your phone and use it on business cards, pamphlets, and posters for further exposure.

Instagram allows you to personalise your QR code. Each of three possibilities offers adjustments. Change the QR code’s background by tapping its button.

Color \Emoji \Selfie

Gradients can be used as QR code backgrounds.

This setting fills your QR code’s background with emoji. Clicking the context changes the emoji. This opens an emoji list.

Selfie is fun. You used a selfie instead of emoji as your QR code’s background. You must take a selfie before establishing this backdrop. Tap the background to change your selfie’s filters.

Step 1. tap the screen, not the COLOR choice.

Step 2. Tap the EMOJI screen to add an emoji to your Instagram QR code.

Step 3. Add your selfie to your Instagram QR code. Tap the camera button on the SELFIE Page to add a selfie.

Instagram QR Code Scan

Samsung Galaxy devices have a built-in QR code scanner. You can scan another user’s Instagram QR code using your phone’s camera app. Depending on your camera app, a popup should tell you to tap or take you to Instagram.
