These capabilities only function with iMessages, not SMS or MMS, therefore Android conversations aren’t supported. How often have you sent an SMS and then realised it was wrong? Have you accidentally sent a text? Apple’s latest iOS enables users modify and unsend autocorrected texts.

iMessages app typo: You and the receiver want to fix the typo. In iOS 16, long-pressing text brings up an Edit menu. Tap the checkbox to email the edited text.
The original message is replaced with the altered version. If the receiver hasn’t updated iOS, both the original text and the amended version will appear with a notice.
Let’s imagine you wish to recollect a whole text; maybe you texted the wrong person. To recall a text, long-press it and choose Undo Send. You unsend a message. Simultaneously, the recipient’s message disappears.
The recipient will receive a message saying you unsent a text to them. Be careful if you haven’t updated to iOS 16 or have an Android smartphone.
