The Google’s Pixel 7 collection comes next month, so we felt now was a good time to review the Pixel 6 and 6 Professional’s official cover.
From 2017 until 2020, Google’s Pixel case released. This was modern security, by all accounts. Official Pixel casings matched Google House speaker covers.
Pixel content has flaws. They frayed easily and needed frequent washing. Google added recyclable materials to Pixel 4a casings, which was responsible but made them less comfortable.
Since then, Google’s official phone cases have a dual-layer plastic design, starting with the Pixel 5a. Google’s Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Professional have a dual-layer construction, but each layer is translucent.
Google’s certified Pixel 6 Professional cover has deteriorated over 10 months, damaging my phone. I’ve never used a worse official Google’s Pixel case.
Yellowing is a problem. Google’s certified Pixel 6 examples have darker splotches, say owners. Translucent layers make phones look dirty compared to solid-color covers.
Looks aren’t everything, therefore I can live with my Pixel 6 Professional case. The case’s slow distortion is bad.
Be cautious. The volume control and USB-C port may twist and bend within weeks. Ten months of using the OEM Pixel 6 Professional case caused the bubble.

2022’s greatest Pixel 6 covers
The Pixel 6 is one of the best Android phones you can buy right now, especially if you’re on a budget. Even if you’re holding out for the Pixel 7 or Pixel 8 next year, you should safeguard your Pixel with a case.
Your phone deserves a buffer around the camera bump so it’s not the first point of contact with every surface. We’ve compiled the best Pixel 6 cases currently available.
1. Pixel 6 Caseology Parallax
Caseology’s Parallax line offers various styles for the Google Pixel 6. The black and red version, which I nickname the Kylo Ren, has lasted me nine months. No fading, scuffs, or scratches, and my PopSockets still cling. (Just get a PopSocket with enhanced gel.) The buttons are slick yet easy to discover, and the USB-C connector accepts most chargers. Sage Green mimics the Pixel 5, however lighter colours are more likely to fade from hand oils and dirt.
2.Mous Limitless 3.0
Rugged cases are large, unsightly, and unwieldy. Mous Limitless 3.0 cases are different. The design uses bouncy cushioning along all sides of your phone chassis to mitigate the impact of even the greatest drops; I can vouch for the protection having tested the Limitless 3.0 design on the Pixel 4 series – it lives up to the extravagant Mous marketing.
There are raised lips around all edges of your screen, so you’ll get extra coverage no matter how you drop it. A strengthened frame covers the Pixel 6 and 6 Pro’s camera bar without obstructing optics. Tasteful finishes include aramid fibre, walnut wood, and leather.
3. CASETiFY Case for Google Pixel 6
CASETiFY makes eco-friendly Google’s Pixel case. There are dozens of designs to pick from. Personalize each Pixe cover by choosing the frame colour. You can choose between clear and semi-transparent cases with decals, graphics, patterns, and stickers.
My favourite case is CASETiFY German Shepherd Dogs. The back dogs are wonderful. The 65% recycled cover protects the sides and camera without being cumbersome. CASETiFY’s Pixel 6 case is high-quality and stylish.
4. Pixel 6 Spigen Liquid Air Armor case
Spigen’s finest Pixel 6 case is the Liquid Air Armor, not the Rugged Armor or Tough Armor. The texture is grippy but still thin. Spigen’s “Air Cushion Technology” makes the case shock-resistant.
Spigen’s Google Pixel 6 Liquid Air Armor has stick-on handles and card slots. It’s snug, but easy to put on and take off if you want to hide cash or ID. Spigen’s product doesn’t match the Pixel 6’s vivid colours, but it protects your phone better than most slim cases.
Best Pixel 6 Cases Tested
We use our own and crowd-sourced testing to identify situations for our list.
If we’ve tested the case ourselves, we’ll have installed it on a Pixel 6 and carried it about for many days, testing out any special features and rating its usability. We don’t run our own drop testing because we don’t have spare Pixel 6s, so keep that in mind when reading manufacturers’ durability claims.
Where we don’t have the cases, we use Amazon reviews. If we can’t inspect it, we trust typical buyers’ opinions.
