Wojciechowski thinks the July build will be pre-installed. “Chromecast HD” might be the streaming stick’s eventual moniker. Android 12 with Google TV is the firmware. The current Chromecast runs Android 10. The firmware verifies Amlogic’s S805X2 CPU with AV1 decoding. 1.5GB RAM, down from 2GB in the 4K model.
