Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman has further details on Apple’s impending Mixed Reality headset. Gurman doesn’t expect an announcement this week, but his Power On newsletter has new details.
Apple is developing N301, N602, and N421 headsets, he said. Apple Reality Pro will be its debut headset. This Mixed Reality headset will likely compete with Meta’s planned Quest Pro.
Apple’s shell firm trademarked multiple “Reality” titles last week.
The N602 model will replace the first and “may be cheaper.” Ming-Chi Kuo discussed Apple’s second MR headset in July.
Gurman says the N421 model is “Apple’s long-held fantasy of augmented reality glasses,” but it won’t appear soon.
Apple rumoured to enter new market for years. While the Apple Car is still a few years away, the business seems to be focusing on AR/VR.

Coming soon: Apple Reality Pro
Apple trademarked a new VR/AR headset through a subsidiary last week. This programme includes Reality One, Reality Pro, and Reality Processor. Gurman said the first product will be called “Apple Reality Pro.”
Apple’s AR/VR headset rumours aren’t new. Ming-Chi Kuo recently shared model details. Kuo says the N602 will be cheaper than the “Apple Reality Pro” The business plans to supply 1.5 million items by 2023.
Kuo stated the Apple Reality Pro will be released in January for over $2,000. Apple’s mixed reality headset is pricey because it’s the finest in hardware. This pricing suggests poor sales.
iPhone 14 will include AirPods Pro 2.
Mark Gurman made another AirPods Pro 2 comment. Apple will also produce a wireless headphone (on September 7). Some rumours say the second-generation Pro headset won’t come until 2023. The AirPods Pro 2 are touted to have great sound quality, connectivity, and ANC.
